Woke

I鈥檓 so very proud of my friend, and although we鈥檒l all be missing her, she鈥檚 about to embark on a big adventure in her career and moving away for work. She鈥檚 taking on a role within a not-for-profit organisation and on her last day in Adelaide, we caught up for a picnic with friends. It felt quite bittersweet because of course we鈥檒l miss her, but I am so very excited for her at the same time! There is still a longing in me for an adventure and although I am in the middle of one of the greatest adventures of my life - being a mum to my fiery little one - I'm hoping that there'll be a couple more adventures to be experienced.

Martial arts: Philosophy, Benefits, and the Legend of Bruce Lee

Two months ago, I started training in Jeet Kune Do (JKD), or also known as 鈥渢he way of the intercepting fist,鈥 meaning, to stop the attack before it even happens. It was created by the famous Chinese/American actor, director, martial artist instructor, and philosopher Bruce Lee and has referred to it as a 鈥渘on-classical鈥, formless form of Chinese Kung Fu. While also watching the show Legend of Bruce Lee on Netflix, I have learned a lot about the background and philosophy of martial arts.听
