Ramblings: small is beautiful
I will always be thankful to my baby daughter for making me a mother — not just any mom, but ³ó±ð°ùÌýmom. Her arrival in the world has not been the easiest for either of us, but most births ²¹°ù±ðÌýhard. I am just imagining the shock and the adjustment that she had to make coming into this world as compared to the world she was living in, which was a water world inside my womb. She very quickly had to learn how to breathe air and acclimatize to sensing the world outside the watery womb. Newborn babies need such great care, especially during the first weeks of life, but I have only just realized that so do new mothers. After all, during this time, babies are still very much dependent on them.

Kindness
This week, I was lucky enough to catch up with a few friends I’ve not seen awhile. It has been a rather hectic and challenging month and it was such a treat to reconnect with these people from my different friendship groups.
Regret: the road not taken

Where we've been, where we're going
We’ve almost reached the end of the year. I’m not where I thought I’d be; I suspect a lot of us aren’t.
My year in review
As we come to the end of 2020, let me run through some key themes or thoughts about my year.Â
Cancelling Plans
The other day, I was on my way into the city on my bike, almost at my destination, when I got a call. The call was from the secretary of the person I was on my way to meet.
One PhD Milestone Down
Having completed (and hopefully passed) this first milestone of my PhD, I think it is a good time to reflect on the process so far.
