Unrewarding volunteering
Last month, I volunteered for a gig and found myself facing the challenge of a rude and unappreciative employer.
Retiring at 21
In a couple of weeks’ time, my ambassadorship with StudyAdelaide will come to an end.

In conjunction with the AUU, Student Health and Wellbeing are currently recruiting volunteers to join the 2022 team.
Acknowledgement of Country
Adelaide is located in the traditional Country of the Kaurna people. I acknowledge and pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First people of Australia whose ancestral lands and waters we work and live on throughout Australia. I honour the wisdom of, and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
On grief and galaxy
I think I’ve shared this before, this realisation that one of the silver linings of the pandemic is that it’s provided an impetus for looking inward. Restrictions, working from home, and physical distancing have allowed us to make space for reflection. At least for those of us lucky enough to be able to. In some ways, it’s also made us re-appreciate the treasures we hold within our own State. The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary is one place in South Australia which I think is very special. There are not very many places in the world where wild and free dolphins live so close to a capital city.Â
