Goodbye to the family home
My parents have had their home (the house I spent the bulk of my childhood in in Loxton) on the market for almost two years, but it came as an almost complete surprise to get a message from Mum this week informing my and my brother that they had finally sold!

Trouble sleeping? Maybe we’ve procrastinated for too long and it’s catching up with us and so we have to burn the midnight oil and make a sprint of our writing. Maybe we’ve been going through some emotional hurdles during lockdown and have been finding it difficult to sleep. Maybe you’ve taken some time out of your usual writing schedule to help a friend out. Maybe the imposter syndrome has gotten a strong grip on us and we’re feeling stuck with our writing.

I pride myself on being honest and saying what I think. I don’t want to change that aspect of who I am. That being said, I have learnt that it is very important to be careful in both what I say, and how I say it.

I’ve been realising that I have a tendency to focus on the issues in my life. What are people doing wrong? What is annoying? What are all the faults in the world? I’ve been trying to make sure that I also pay attention to all the positives. One thing I wanted to do was thank everyone for what they’ve done for me over the course of my life.Â
