Frosty winter

Winter is well and truly here. How do I know? The cold is seeping into my bones.Ìý

I wake up in the mornings, and struggle to will myself to get out of bed. I rush from my bed to the shower, shivering once I get out of the shower. My share-house is so cold, lacking any heating except for the kitchen. I dress myself with three or four layers of clothing.Ìý

I ride my bike to placement. It feels like being whacked in the face. My face goes numb and my fingers are frozen, even through my gloves.Ìý

At placement, there is some heating but I still keep my coat and scarf on all day. My day is broken up with hot cups of tea, a lifesaver.Ìý

I ride home through the parklands. The sunset is pretty, but I have to rush home otherwise I'll be riding in the dark. I hate the fact that the day feels like it's over and I've only just finished work.Ìý

When I get home, I'm famished. I am so muchÌý³ó³Ü²Ô²µ°ù¾±±ð°ùÌýwhen the weather is cold. I make some food and curl up to watch tv. I have no energy to go out orÌýsocialise. Red wine is my friend on these cold nights.Ìý

I go to bed early, drawn by the irresistible warmth of my doona and hot water bottle.Ìý

Summer: come back!Ìý
