Managers should discuss with staff if and how often they would like to be informed during their parental leave. The level of contact staff want or need will not be the same for everyone, so it is important to set expectations around communication method, frequency. the types of information they wish to receive and any activities they would like to continue to be part of. 鈥淜eeping in touch鈥 options could include:

- Quarterly work updates
- Invitations to social events and visits
- No contact
