鈥淒iscovery learning begins with a good question or purpose. It takes you on a journey down pathways. Some may be well-lit, others dark and unexplored. You may be alone or in a group. You will use a range of tools, methods, and resources on your journey. There may be leaders, guides, and followers. You will have decisions to make. Some may lead you down blind alleys. Others will lead to discovery鈥.

Established in 2016, the Adelaide Education Academy (AEA) aims to promote, support and recognise teaching excellence across the 成人大片. The sixty-nine full, and four affiliate, members come to the Academy from across the five facilities, and bring with them with a broad range of specialisms and life experiences.

First presented in 1991, Stephen Cole the Elder Awards were established through bequest made to the 成人大片 by a descendant of Stephen Cole the Elder, pioneer South Australian colonist.聽 We spoke to this year鈥檚 deserving winners about what they enjoy about teaching, their teaching philosophy and how they have managed during an extremely challenging 2020.
