  • Accreditation, credit transfer, and recognition of prior learning

    To facilitate the expansion of pathways, particularly through the articulation and credit transfer, follow the steps below:

    1. Initial contact

    Initial contact by staff interested in expanding pathways and other collaborative arrangements should be made through the 罢础贵贰听厂础/成人大片 articulation and credit transfer coordinator:

    2. Process determination

    A determination should be made as to the most appropriate process. For example course information can be exchanged as an initial step, or a meeting can be arranged to discuss course information or issues etc. 聽The contact details of a key subject area expert should be supplied with any request for credit transfer consideration.

    3. Qualification linkages

    罢丑别听聽is the national policy for regulated qualification in Australia education and training and supports the developent of pathways to assist people to move easitly through education.

    4. Specify credit arrangements

    Specified credit arrangements must be in writing and include endorsement by both parties to ensure consistency and quality control. Templates are available upon request from either the聽罢础贵贰听厂础 coordinator聽or the 成人大片 coordinator.

    5. Signed agreements

    Both parties should hold a copy of the signed agreement.

  • Curriculum development

    The University has in place formal processes to identify opportunities for collaborative curriculum development when planning new or revised courses/programs.聽罢础贵贰听厂础 also has formal processes for identifying opportunities and collaborating in curriculum development.

    Accurate and timely information should be provided to staff and students (including potential students) on course offerings and cross-sectoral pathways. Where appropriate developing cooperative or integrated strategies are encouraged to increase enrolment of international students in joint programs.

    Publicity/Promotion
    Overviews of credit transfer arrangements are listed on the 罢础贵贰听厂础 website for prospective students to consider.

    Various strategies to promote the pathways agreed through the credit transfer agreement should be pursued and current students should be made aware of the pathways.

    The DECD Policy Portal provides information to all 罢础贵贰听厂础 staff on administrative and official policy matters. New or revised credit transfer arrangements are submitted for inclusion on the Policy Portal.

    Consider strategies that will best promote and advertise the arrangement. This could include printed or electronic publications, involvement with University agencies (eg. Prospective Students Office), general community awareness and communication with school liaison officers.

  • Professional development

    The 成人大片 can deliver quality professional development opportunities for 罢础贵贰听厂础 staff.

    • 聽-聽including leadership development, course design, teaching methods, online education, and assessment and evaluation.
    • Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) -聽business development, leadership management, supervision, communication, personal development and computer skills. PCE can also design specific programs to meet the training and development need of academic staff from TAFE SA. In addition to the public programs the unit can assist TAFE SA staff in team-building activities, facilitating planning days and conducting individual and group career planning sessions. PCE can also offer TAFE SA managerial staff individual coaching programs for leadership, management, business and career development. Personal coaching is particularly suited to individuals who are committed to their own professional development and are open to receiving feedback and support to this end.

    The MOU encourages the 成人大片 and 罢础贵贰听厂础 staff to consider undertaking collaborative research projects. There are several fields in which university staff and students do research that are also of academic interest to 罢础贵贰听厂础 staff, such as:

    • engineering and the built environment
    • geosciences and geographic information systems
    • public health
    • music
    • food and wine

    Collaboration between our institutions could take the form of joint research projects or the sharing of equipment, infrastructure or community networks.
