Maintenance

The Infrastructure Branch is responsible for the upkeep of buildings, grounds and service infrastructure within the University's campuses and select commercial properties.

Requests for cleaning, maintenance and other infrastructure services, including electrical work, waste disposal, pest control, and plumbing, must be made through the Ìý(UniSpace). A confirmation email with a work order number will be sent to the nominated email address.

In an emergency, contact the Facilities Support Desk on 831 34008. If you haven’t already done so, they will ask you to log a Service Request, which will allow you to track the progress of your request.

Service Requests

Where possible, please submit your service request well in advance, as jobs are scheduled in order of priority, and time frames for expected completion cannot always be provided.

Priority is given to life-threatening emergencies, or buildings and grounds emergencies, such as a ceiling collapse, flood or fire. Urgent requests such as electrical or plumbing issues or a person trapped in a lift, will also be actioned promptly.

The vast majority of requests are actioned within 24 hours. Caretaking requests must be given three business days.
