Tirkanthi Yangadlitya
A new cultural space, Tirkanthi Yangadlitya, meaning 'Learning for the Future', has been created to support Indigenous students and staff, and inspire non-Indigenous people.
Tirkanthi Yangadlitya flows on from the adjacent Yaitya Ngutupira ('About Aboriginal Knowledge') space, which brings together a collection of physical and digital items from across the University, to support and embed Indigenous knowledge and shared learning.
The next phase of the project will see a new Library North entrance created directly off the Barr Smith Lawns. This entrance will help form a connection between Yaitya Ngutupira, Tirkanthi Yangadlitya and the Kaurna Learning Circle, an important cultural meeting place at North Terrace located on Victoria Drive.
