Contractor First Steps

​​​​​​All workers must complete the ³ÉÈË´óƬ Contractor Induction through the MyRapid Portal prior to the commencement of work.

First complete the company registration, then individual worker inductions.​

  • Step 1 - Request company registration.

    Email the following details to facilitiessupport@adelaide.edu.au to request registration of your company:

    • Company legal name
    • Company contact person (i.e. the Company Administrator, who is responsible for coordinating the contractor induction process and personnel)
    • Contact person email address
    • Contact person telephone number
    • Name of university representative engaging your services
  • Step 2 - Register your company.

    An invitation to register the company will be sent to the Company Administrator.

    If the registration email is not received, contact the Rapid Induct Client Services Team on 1800 307 595 or email support@rapidglobal.

  • Step 3 - Activate your MyRapid Portal account.

    The Company Administrator will receive an email with a link to verify your MyRapid Portal account email.

    After successful registration and activation of your account, visit  and select Administrator to manage inductees and update any company details.

    Enter your Email address and Password to log in.

    If you already have a MyRapid Portal account, log in with the above link, select Rapid Contractor and then The ³ÉÈË´óƬ.

  • Step 4 - Issue induction link to workers.

  • Step 5 - Workers complete online induction.

    Any worker who is engaged to attend the University to complete works must complete the Online Contractor Induction at least 72 hours before attending site. Inductions are valid for 12 months, after which time re-induction is mandatory.ÌýA reminder email is automatically generated 30 days prior to expiry.

    It the responsibility of the inductee to maintain compliance with their induction. The Company Administrator is responsible for deactivating any worker that is no longer required to work at the University.

    • Step 6 - Collect contractor access ID card.

      After successful completion of the induction course, workers will be issued a contractor identification card, which will be available 72 hours later from Ask Adelaide in Hub Central (Barr Smith South) with a valid photo ID. Same day collection is not possible. If urgent attendance on site is required, phone your ³ÉÈË´óƬ contact person to discuss options.ÌýAll workers must carry a valid card with them at all times while on site.ÌýIf the induction expires, the card will be deactivated.
