562 Days of AI: Reflections from the Festival of Learning and Teaching

In June, the University hosted its Festival of Learning and Teaching, centred on the topic of 'Meaningful approaches to learning and teaching in the age of AI’. One festival event was the panel discussion ‘562 days of AI: What have we learned since Chat-GPT arrived?’, which explored some of the recent developments in generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) technology, and their implications for teaching and learning practice.

Updated Academic Integrity Policy

On 22 July 2024, the new Academic Integrity Policy will come into effect. This means that any new Academic Integrity cases will be dealt with according to an updated process.

Sara Krivickas

This month we spoke with Dr Sara Krivickas, Associate Lecturer and level 1 Chemistry course coordinator in the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences, in the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. Sara became a member of the Adelaide Education Academy in 2023 and in the same year was awarded the Executive Dean’s Commendation for Excellence in Teaching (Faculty of SET).

All coursework programs offered by the University are subject to a review as part of a 5 - 7 year cycle. The review process allows the Faculty, School, and program staff, and an independent, external reviewer, to reflect and enhance the learning and teaching delivered in their programs, such as student experience, curriculum quality, teaching methods and methodologies and growth opportunities.
