Sara Krivickas

This month we spoke with Dr Sara Krivickas, Associate Lecturer and level 1 Chemistry course coordinator in the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences, in the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. Sara became a member of the Adelaide Education Academy in 2023 and in the same year was awarded the Executive Dean鈥檚 Commendation for Excellence in Teaching (Faculty of SET).

In Round 4, 21 programs are undergoing review within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering, and Technology. Submissions for Round 4 are until Friday, 12 July 2024.

All coursework programs offered by the University are subject to a review as part of a 5 - 7 year cycle. The review process allows the Faculty, School, and program staff, and an independent, external reviewer, to reflect and enhance the learning and teaching delivered in their programs, such as student experience, curriculum quality, teaching methods and methodologies and growth opportunities.

How contract cheating providers target students

Cheating is never the right answer

A has flagged changes in the behaviour of commercial academic cheating services that target students studying for an Australian higher education award. Reports received by TEQSA suggest operators of these services are being more aggressive and direct in their promotional activities and are more frequently targeting users of their service for blackmail or identity theft.

Staff use and perception of Generative AI in Australian Universities

We invite you to participate in a national survey that examines how AI tools are currently being used by academic, professional and sessional staff in Australian Universities for teaching, research and professional work.

You can which takes around 10-15 minutes to complete. The project aims to provide baseline evidence of the extent and nature of AI adoption by 成人大片 staff, including the impact of AI on productivity in the higher education context.

Survey questions ask about AI-driven practices in specific domains, including assessment, learning analytics, coding, course design, student support, data analysis and visualisation, text summarisation, and collaboration and networking.

The findings will inform higher education policy and practice, assist university staff to navigate the AI revolution effectively, and bridge the knowledge gap that currently exists regarding AI鈥檚 impact on higher education.

The survey has been designed by social scientists from QUT and Griffith University. Together, they have longstanding expertise in the intersections of technology, work and education; inclusive education; ethics and integrity; quality supervision and mentoring; and survey design and analysis.
