New members of the AEA in 2022
Established in 2016, the Adelaide Education Academy (AEA) aims to promote, support and recognise teaching excellence across the 成人大片.听 AEA membership is by application only, with expressions of interest open from October each year.
This year four new members were inducted into the academy, bringing with them a vast range of experience and knowledge to share with their fellow members and the wider teaching and learning community.
They shared some thoughts about how they hope to contribute to teaching excellence at the 成人大片, through their AEA membership
听As a new member of the AEA , Lecturer and Coordinator of the eLearning Program for the School of Education, hopes to 鈥鈥earn from and share with colleagues contemporary pedagogies and teaching practices in order to contribute to the collective teaching quality at the 成人大片.鈥
,听Senior Lecturer and Head of Department for Asian Studies, is 鈥溾赌very much looking forward to getting to know and collaborating with fellow AEA members to contribute further to the University鈥檚 learning and teaching space, and to promote teaching excellence beyond my own discipline鈥. Kayoko also noted that she was particularly interested in evidence-based discussions around enabling student engagement through a range of active learning pedagogies, and sharing innovative teaching practices with members from both Arts and non-Arts disciplines.
听a Lecturer at the School of Social Sciences, said she was 鈥渟辞 excited to be a member of the AEA!鈥听 She also looks forward to exchanging ideas with peers and promoting teaching excellence together.
听Senior Lecturer in the Department of Media, School of Humanities is looking forward to being part of a community focused on developing learning and teaching within the university.听She notes 鈥I鈥檓 particularly keen to strengthen connections between L&T and employability-focused activities such as internships and professionally aligned projects鈥鈥
Co-chairs and have welcomed the new members and noted that they, and the rest of the membership were 鈥渓ooking forward to our members continuing to show leadership in many facets of learning and teaching across the University in 2022.鈥听 They also noted that the AEA was planning several exciting learning and teaching events across the year.
