New student-led initiative assists with discipline-specific writing
The Writing Centre launched a new, discipline-specific writing workshop series in semester one this year called ‘Get it Write’.
Four sessions have been held so far, with two sessions on creative writing, one on history writing and one on science writing. During the session authors were asked to share one of their published pieces with the audience. The host then interviewed the author based on their work, followed by an audience guided Q&A.  These sessions are also unique in that they are created by students, for students, with help from the staff at the ³ÉÈË´óƬ Writing Centre

Spotlight on Academic Integrity
We are pleased to announce that over 90% of first-year students with access to the module completed the module and the associated quiz. Engagement was high across all courses, and some courses even achieved 100% completions. This excellent result is thanks to the efforts of course coordinators and tutors in scaffolding and promoting the module in their courses.
