To help craft a strong and positive future for our students, The University has embarked on a journey to design a future-fitÌýlearning and teaching strategy:Ìý
Attendees engaged with the key ideas informing the strategy at the second event, on 16 June, Activating Learning.
The half day event was held at the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences Building.
Attendees heard from the keynote presenter, Professor Angela Carbone and university colleagues and had the opportunity to contribute to discussions about Active Learning.

KEYNOTE
The Power of Active Learning
Professor Angela Carbone,ÌýAssociate Deputy Vice-Chancellor Learning, Teaching and Quality within the STEM College at RMIT University.
This keynote presentation explores the concept of active learning and its practical implementation in various educational environments. Participants will have an opportunity to engage in active learning activities while exploring the concept, implementation, and benefits and challenges in various educational environments.
A focus of the presentation will explore how active learning can be applied in practice, and its adaptability to different educational settings, including traditional classrooms and online learning environments. The presentation will showcase some active learning initiatives at RMIT University. Participants will gain insights into specific examples of how RMIT incorporates active learning methodologies into its curriculum through its Active, Applied and Authentic (AAA) Signature Pedagogy.
