ACEN Critical Conversations provides a platform for discussion around current issues facing WIL practitioners. Driven by the ACEN Professional Development and Resources committee, this virtual session involves facilitated online conversations in discipline groups. We invite you to speak up, share your thoughts on what matters to you most and offer strategies to encourage one another in our WIL community.

University graduates are entering a globalised workplace, with technological advances enabling greater permeation across borders and cultures to produce work. So, how are we preparing students at university with the cultural competencies to work internationally? This ACEN Critical Conversations will explore Global WIL, students accessing international work experiences, and discuss the challenges, benefits and future possibilities for better preparing global citizens.

Presenter: Ashley Tanks is Executive Director (Global) at the University of Wollongong. Ashley is responsible for transnational education, global student mobility, global sport programs, international education partnerships and global strategy.
