    Windows installation instructions

    **NB:ÌýWe recommend uninstalling any previous versions of Endnote before proceeding with this installation

    1. The fileÌýEndnote-21-Win-Personal.zipÌýwill be downloaded to your downloads folder.
    2. Once downloaded, right click on theÌýEndnote-21-Win-Personal.zipÌýand select extract here or extract all.** Must use the extract option for the license file to work.
    3. A new folder will be created calledÌýEndnote-21-Win-Personal.
    4. Double clickÌýEN21Inst.msi
    5. Click next then click the ‘Accept’ button for theÌýVolume License Version. ClickÌýnextÌýonce more, accept theÌýLicense Agreement and clickÌýNext.
    6. SelectÌýTypicalÌýon theÌýInstallation TypeÌýwindow, then clickÌýnext.
    7. ClickÌýNextÌý2 more times.
    8. Endnote should be installed without any prompt for registration. If a message does appear asking for a serial/license key, double check that the files were extracted and that theÌýlicense.datÌýfile is located in theÌýEndnote-21-Win-Personal folderÌýwith the installation file. If it is not, then please go back to step 2.
