Google replacing current version of Analytics
Google聽has announced they will be replacing the current version of聽Google聽Analytics聽(Universal聽Analytics) with聽Google聽Analytics聽4聽(GA4). The aim of this change is to implement next-generation measurement standards. The Universal聽Analytics聽platform聽will discontinue data processing on 1 July 2023, and then likely become unavailable in early 2024.
Marketing and ITDS have been working with the areas which use the University instance of Google Analytics. However, if you have a locally held licence, you will need to manage this process yourself to ensure that you continue to be able to evaluate/analyse your website user data, and to ensure you maintain as much historical data as you can.
