Open Access Week 2020 - Open with Purpose

This week is Open Access Week, 19 to 25 October 2020.

The importance of sharing research has been brought into sharp focus this year with the push to combat COVID-19. Removing financial barriers and making research open access ensures that it can be read, used, and built upon as widely as possible. This doesn鈥檛 just apply to the final publication either; data, methods, protocols, preprints and more can all be made open access to help increase the reach and impact of your research.

If you鈥檙e interested听in finding out more about open access, the Australasian Open Access Strategy Group are running a series of online events throughout Open Access Week:

The diverse program includes a case study communicating COVID-19 information using Creative Commons licensed animations and illustrations, a session on preprints, a wikidata workshop, and a conversation with indigenous researchers discussing the role open access can play in decolonising academia, publishing and cultural institutions.听听听听听听
