What is a 'disposal schedule'?
A records disposal schedule sets out the minimum amount of time specific types of records must be kept.
Disposal is not all about destruction - in a records management context, ‘disposal’ is an umbrella term for the ultimate fate of a record (its ‘sentence’), which could be that it is keptÌýORÌý»å±ð²õ³Ù°ù´Ç²â±ð»å.
Please contact Records Services if you have ³ÉÈË´óƬ records that require archiving or destroying. Records Services can provide advice and assistance to ensure the records are managed in keeping with University policy and State legislation.
°Õ³ó±ðÌý requires the University to dispose of its official records in accordance with approved disposal schedules.
It is unlawful to destroy University records without prior authorisation from the University Archivist.
