His engaging, sophisticated and technically challenging hybridised animal/plant sculptures - and the fantastical worlds they inhabit - are embedded in the history of glassmaking and scientific discovery. His vitreous bestiary series was inspired by curious images in the famous 15th century of which the Library has a facsimile which will be displayed.
