The 成人大片 is partnering with听听to offer all students and staff access to an extensive library of online resources that support the development of a diverse range of skills and capabilities. 听LinkedIn Learning is a global platform that provides access to a wide range of online learning modules aimed at helping develop the professional and personal skills students need to be successful in their studies and their careers.听LinkedIn Learning provides online videos that can be accessed on-demand across all types of devices, tablets, mobiles and laptops and can be viewed both online or offline.
LinkedIn Learning is designed to supplement or enhance student learning and to help students achieve their personal goals. Students can elect to receive certificates for completed courses and display them in their LinkedIn profile to highlight the skills they have gained.
All videos, courses and collections are presented in short bite-size chunks, so students can search for and focus on particular skills they need to develop. 听Linkedin Learning uses insights from the LinkedIn platform to develop new content based on in-demand skills. 听Content ranges from developing practical skills such as using Excel and Word to transferable professional skills like working in teams and time management through to personal development, for example developing self-awareness and building resilience.
Staff will be able to use the content to complement the courses they teach and any staff interested in knowing more about how Linkedin Learning can be used with MyUni should contact听Sharon Scott, Manager, Student Employability听in the first instance.
There is an enormous amount of content on the platform, and students often feel overwhelmed by information overload, so we will be curating content for students to help them find the content that they need. 听We will also be mapping the content to the Graduate Attributes and making playlists available to staff and students. 听Staff are encouraged to think about how they could utilise the content in their teaching and workshops will be run in early 2020 to support teaching staff who want to use Linkedin Learning.
While our focus is on how the platform can help enhance student employability, staff will also have access to the content for their own professional and personal development.
From January 2020 UoA students and staff will have free unlimited access to Linkedin Learning. 听Watch for an announcement in the听听and Staff News when the platform goes live and all you will need to do is activate your account to get started.
