John Monash Scholarships: applications closing soon
The 2025 John Monash Scholarships close at 5 pm AEST on 1 July 2024.
This year, successful John Monash Scholars – who can be of any age, study any discipline, and choose to study anywhere in the world – will receive $80,000 for each year of scholarship:
- $80,000 for a one-year Master’s.
- $160,000 for a two-year Master’s.
- $240,000 for a PhD.
The John Monash Scholarships, which have been running for 20 years, are uniquely Australian. They are proudly supported by Australians for Australians. Funders include governments, companies, trusts and foundations, and individuals.

Applications from both newly minted graduates and alumni are encouraged. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate academic rigour, the potential for leadership and a strong sense of citizenship.
