Conduct of Research

Responsible research is encouraged and guided by the research culture of the 成人大片.

This ranges from general research practices, managing and storing data, ensuring all research is ethical while understanding principles of intellectual property, and authorship. Detailed information on responsible research can be found in the Research Student Handbook. Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research

As a researcher it is imperative that you are familiar with and comply with the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. You can access a copy of the Code and the 成人大片 policy regarding the code on the Research Integrity website.

All graduate research students are required to complete training on the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research before completing their CCSP. You can enrol in the training through .

Managing your research data

As part of your CCSP you will need to complete a data management plan. The University Library has extensive information on research data management and how to create your plan.聽 Check out for training on creation of your plan and managing your data.

Ethics

It is vitally important that your research is ethically compliant. The Office of Research Ethics, Compliance and Integrity can provide advice and information on everything to do with ethics and getting approval to conduct your research.

Authorship

All students are encouraged to publish their research during or after candidature and in many cases you can include one or more publications in the thesis you submit for examination. With this in mind it is important that you understand the University鈥檚 Authorship Policy and how it affects you and your work. Using Generative AI Tools

Generative AI is a rapidly evolving technology, with new capabilities and applications being introduced regularly. The Guidelines for use of generative AI tools in the preparation of Research Outputs by Higher Degree by Research Students will assist you in understanding the University鈥檚 expectations for the use of these tools in the preparation of research outputs related to the Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program, including your thesis.

Other relevant University policies

The polices relevant to you as a research student are listed in Appendix 2 of the Research Student Handbook. These policies range from Insurance, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Academic Honesty, and Conflict of Interest. You should make yourself aware of these policies to ensure and you and your research is always complaint.
