All sessions held in break-out rooms are optional, you can choose to attend as many or as few as you like.

Don鈥檛 worry if you can鈥檛 get there by 5pm, you can arrive at any time during the night before 7pm!

    Dr Rouven Becker

    Dr Rouven Becker

    Rouven is a postdoctoral researcher with a background in chemical biology and medicinal chemistry. After obtaining his PhD in Chemistry from the 成人大片 in 2022 he joined the Myeloma Research Lab at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) and became the Program Manager of the Adelaide Drug Discovery Incubator (ADDI) at the 成人大片.听
    His research interest in drug discovery and his interdisciplinary background align well with the ADDI vision of creating a cross-disciplinary community, connecting researchers with an interest in drug discovery across Adelaide. In collaboration with the commercialisation department, ADDI is forming an internal and external gateway for capability matching, expert guidance, education, and engagement with external stakeholders.

    Dr Tamika Glouftsis

    Dr Tamika Glouftsis

    Tamika is a Learning Designer in the Learning Enhancement and Innovation unit of the 成人大片. She completed her PhD in History in 2023, which focused on public engagement with history through video games and digital interactive media.

    Tamika fell in love with teaching during her degree and formed an interest in pedagogy and educational design. She also worked for an independent historical video game company, Jaguar Games, where she gained more experience in digital design.

    She now tutors History on the side while working full-time as a learning designer.

    Dr Claire Settre

    Dr Claire Settre

    Claire is an Assistant Director at the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder and leads a team to deliver Commonwealth environmental water in the southern Murray-Darling Basin. Claire graduated with her PhD from the 成人大片 in 2017 and has worked and studied in several countries around the world as a consultant, researcher and team leader. Claire is passionate about working with and leading inter-disciplinary teams to address complex problems in environmental management, including how to balance agricultural, industrial and environmental resource demands.听
    Claire's career highlights include working as a senior environmental consultant on World Bank-funded development projects in East and West Africa, contributing to detailed water resource assessments and government training in Lao PDR, and being part of a task force to develop a road map for water market reform in the Murray-Darling Basin. She thoroughly enjoys her current role at the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder where she continues to learn about and influence the complex water ecosystem in Australia, and continues to engage with and promote research through long-term environmental monitoring, evaluation and research programs.

    Mark Stephens profile picture

    Dr Mark Stephens

    Mark has a PhD in Hydraulics, Masters in Hydrology, Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Law Degrees and has worked in the water and wastewater industry in Australia for over 25 years.听听Mark is currently a Technical Director at Aurecon and also the technology lead and Director for a 成人大片 water and wastewater utility analytics start-up (Adelitics Pty Ltd). Mark is leading the development of new statistical and machine learning analytics designed to identify issues, as well as platform interfaces that ensure the analytics can be adopted and effectively add value to utility operations, through his role at Adelitics. Through his role at Aurecon, Mark has worked to support engineering design and advisory service delivery to SA Water throughout 2022-2024 on-going as well as contribute to Aurecon's national digital water activities.

    Dr Hannah Wardill

    Dr Hannah Wardill

    Hannah is a fundamentally-trained biomedical researcher, applying her skills in host-microbe interactions to better support people living with or beyond cancer. Hannah completed her PhD at the 成人大片 (2016) and was then recruited to the Neuroimmune Interactions Laboratory where she further refined her repertoire of skills in microbiome-science, in particular the use of faecal microbiota transplantation in gastrointestinal disease. After securing a highly prestigious NHMRC CJ Martin Fellowship, she relocated to the Netherlands to undertake postdoctoral training at the largest University hospital in the Netherlands, UMCG. There, she led a translational pipeline of research that spanned both the bench and the bedside, evaluating microbial interventions. Since returning to Adelaide in March 2020, Hannah established her own independent research group (the Supportive Oncology Research Group, SORG based at SAHMRI), sustained by the >$15mil in research funding she secured, including an NHMRC (EL2) Investigator Grant commencing in 2025.
