    A Future Student Advisor will come out to your school to talk with your students about their options. This session includes an overview of our degrees, support services and facilities, as well as looking at campus life andÌýentry requirements. The duration of this presentation is flexible.

  • Jobs of the future

    It’s estimated that over 40% of jobs are atÌýrisk of becoming automated in the next 20 years. The aim of this presentation is to getÌýstudents thinking about the ‘Jobs of the Future’, and what this could mean for their future career direction. Hear about emerging technologies and industries, asÌýwell as the skills your students will need to thrive in an ever changing workforce.

  • Careers workshop

    While some students may have a clear idea of what they want to study, others may need some extra guidance. This session is designed to help your students find their path to their ultimate career while learning about jobs of the future.

    Facilitated by a Future Student Advisor, this interactive workshop will guideÌýstudents through the multitude of careerÌýoptions available to them. Throughout the session students will explore their interests and determine how these can be translated into viable employment outcomes through an examination of current and future job trends.

  • Uni life workshop

    The transition from high schoolÌýto university can be daunting. ToÌýhelp dispel some of the commonÌýmisconceptions between school andÌýuniversity, we invite your students to participate in an interactive workshopÌýwith a current ³ÉÈË´óƬÌýstudent. Together, they will explore whatÌýuni is really like, as our current studentsÌýshare their own experiences and tips forÌýmaking the most of university study.

  • Student experience tours

    This activity gives students theÌýopportunity to tour the university fromÌýthe perspective of a current student.ÌýStudents learn about the universityÌýstructure and lifestyle as well as academic and personal support services.ÌýCurrent students share their experiencesÌýof transitioning to university andÌýshowcase vibrant learning and studyÌýspaces. This activity is recommended toÌýbe bundled with the Uni Life Workshop.

  • Study options for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander students

    This presentation includes degreeÌýinformation, support services andÌýfacilities, campus life, entry requirementsÌýand alternative pathways.Ìý

    Wirltu Yarlu Aboriginal EducationÌýsupports Aboriginal and Torres StraitÌýIslander students into the University. ThisÌýis done through foundation and degreeÌýprograms, administering theÌýSpecial Entry Access Scheme and providingÌýsupport services. The University delivers aÌýPreparation Program and the IndigenousÌýKnowledge major to assist studentsÌýfurther.

  • Marni wingku

    Marni Wingku is an annual educationalÌýprogram for Aboriginal and TorresÌýStrait Islander students in years 8-12.ÌýThe program provides students with theÌýopportunity to participate in fun andÌýengaging activities which are designedÌýto introduce them to specific areas ofÌýstudy. From the skills they have learnedÌýthrough the activities, they can then beÌýapplied to different pathways.

Throughout theÌýsession your students will learn aboutÌýthe requirements for entry, availableÌýstudent support services, as well as theÌýdifferent requirements for degrees suchÌýas Medicine and Dentistry.Ìý
