Aboriginal Heritage Project
This funded听and award winning project was established in 2014听in an effort to collaborate with Australian Indigenous communities to reconstruct their genetic history via ground-breaking research.听
罢丑别听听have recognised the efforts of several years of work, its听many collaborators, our funding sponsors,听and Indigenous communities by bestowing the State's听Excellence in Research Collaboration award听(2018).听 The study was also nationally recognised with the听Eureka Prize听for听听(2017).听
Award winning study
This is a large scale project using samples (hair specimens, linguistic records and anthropological and archaeological data) to piece together a genetic map of Australia dating back ~50,000 years.听听
