WillowSoft - Our new student engagement platform
Wirltu Yarlu is adopting WillowSoft, an adaptable and flexible student engagement software designed to support the experience and success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at The ³ÉÈË´óƬ. Ìý
WillowSoft is an evidence-based, purpose-built platform designed by Profesor Martin Nakata (James Cook University) in partnership with an industry partner (WillowSoft Pty. Ltd.). Building on twenty years of academic research, the platform has been customised to identify and manage the levers for Indigenous student success1. Ìý
The platform features student management, mentor management, internal and external reporting capabilities, individual task lists, and automated alerts to increase process efficiency, monitoring accuracy, and timeliness of student interactions.

Training and Implementation
Training will be available to all those required to use the system during the week commencing 18 November 2024. Placeholders have been added to the diaries of the Leadership team, Managers, Student Support Officers, Outreach staff, and Mentors. More information, including agendas for each session, will be circulated closer to the date.
The platform will be made available shortly following training in December and will be ready for student use during summer school in January/February 2025.
