Professor Chris Leishman
Chris Leishman is Professor of Housing Economics at the ³ÉÈË´óƬ, and is Director of the Hugo Centre for Population and Housing.
Chris specialises in the economics of housing supply and housing development, housing affordability and economic productivity. He is currently leading an AHURI Inquiry focused on the linkages between population, migration and agglomeration economies. He also leads the ‘Understanding Housing Markets’ theme of the UK’s ESRC Housing Evidence Centre. Chris has an extensive track record working with Government as well as category 1 funders in Australia and the United Kingdom. He is an editor of the Urban Studies Journal and lead editor for housing economics submissions.
