Researchers from the ³ÉÈË´óƬ and the Radboud University Medical Centre in the Netherlands have repurposed an arthritis drug to restrict the use of antibiotics in the treatment of side effects caused by blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Academic and personal achievements celebrated
Starting today, the ³ÉÈË´óƬ will hold 16 ceremonies in historic Bonython Hall across May to celebrate the achievements of more than 5100 students who are graduating. Four leaders will also be awarded honorary doctorates in recognition of outstanding contributions in their field.

Digging deep to unlock soil secrets
Researchers from the ³ÉÈË´óƬ and the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), the research division of the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA), will examine soil DNA samples collected over the past 20 years to improve productivity, profitability and resilience for Australia’s agricultural sector.
