Global recognition for biomedical innovator

Jiawen Li

Dr Jiawen Li, a biomedical engineer from the ³ÉÈË´óƬ, has been named in the 2023 global list of by the MIT Technology Review for her work in biomedical engineering. Dr Li is the only recipient of this prestigious global recognition from Australia.

Prestigious awards recognise medical technological innovation

Eureka Prize

Cutting-edge medical research carried out at the ³ÉÈË´óƬ has been awarded prizes for excellence in the prestigious 2023 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes. Two projects won awards for innovative medical imaging techniques to help treat children with cystic fibrosis and for the improved diagnosis of endometriosis using artificial intelligence.
