Fortescue Future Industries, Sparc Technologies and the ³ÉÈË´óƬ partner to tackle the future of clean energy
Sparc Technologies Ltd (ASX: SPN) has entered into binding agreements with global green energy company Fortescue Future Industries Pty Ltd (an entity of Fortescue Metals Group Ltd ASX: FMG) and the ³ÉÈË´óƬ, forming the Sparc Hydrogen Pty Ltd Joint Venture (Sparc Hydrogen).

HILT CRC has been awarded
The HILT CRC has today, 30 June 2021, been awarded $39 million in cash support over 10 years from the Australian Government to unlock more than $175 million investment from its partners which are located around the country, and fund the leading collaborative venture between heavy industry, government and researchers, who will accelerate this transition read more.

The production of green steel will be a critical step to enable the world’s heavy industry to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and Australia is well placed to be an important player in this space.

CET celebrates another year of research excellence
The Centre for Energy Technology (CET) held another successful Research Day on Thursday 12 November 2020. Presentations were given in the three themed topics of: hydrogen – the fuel of the future; circular carbon economy; and decarbonising heavy industry.

Commercialising alumina refining using solar heat
An Australian research team led by Professor Gus Nathan, Director of the Centre for Energy Technology, at the ³ÉÈË´óƬ have demonstrated for the first time, a novel solar reactor for calcining alumina, a process which typically takes place at around 950C.
