Kylie Dunning Awarded ARC Future Fellowship

Dr has been awarded an ARC Future Fellowship, receiving $1,061,521 for her pioneering research into enhancing fertility through an innovative method of growing ovarian follicles in the laboratory using sound suspension technology.
Dr Dunning's project aims to generate new knowledge on providing optimal conditions for follicle culture by employing newly developed acoustic technology. The expected outcomes include developing new platforms to monitor and optimise the growth of developing follicles, ultimately increasing the number of viable eggs that can be grown from stored ovarian tissue. This groundbreaking research will open new avenues for improving fertility treatments and advancing reproductive science.
The potential applications of this research are vast, ranging from protecting threatened species to delivering economic benefits through the development of next-generation reproductive biotechnologies.
