Prof Ebendorff-Heidepriem, Deputy Director of the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS), is a world-renowned researcher and leader in optical glass and fibre with multiple of international recognitions and awards. As a 2023 ARC Industry Laureate, Heike is leading the transformative development of ZBLAN Space Fibre, an innovation with potential to revolutionise global internet connectivity and data transfer rates at the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Science, the 成人大片. This will put South Australia at the forefront of developing automaton of ZBLAN fibre manufacture which will result in the production of fibre at scale and enable commercialisation in various industries including defence, mining, medical devices, and data communications.
