Naracoorte welcomes the Mega Night of Science and Megafest Weekend
World renowned palaeontologist, Professor Mike Archer will take us on an amazing journey through Riversleigh World Heritage Area.
Come see the weird and wonderful mammals that roamed Australia鈥檚 rainforests millions of years ago.

The evening will include guest speakers, Q and A with the scientists, refreshments and samples of local wines from the region. from the UNSW has led palaeontology research at Riversleigh in northwest Queensland for many decades. Professor Archer and his team have published hundreds of papers on Riversleigh extraordinary history of Australia鈥檚 iconic mammals. student from The 成人大片 will speak about how he is using 3D technologies to map the Naracoorte Caves providing an unprecedented view of Naracoorte underground.
The weekend
When: Saturday 24th of November 2019
Come along to the Caves the following day to at Naracoorte Caves for a fun filed day of activities, music, local produce, wine tasting and the first Naracoorte World Heritage Run.
成人大片 Palaeontologists will have displays in the fossil lab, palaeo-activities for children and speaking to visitors in the Caves. will be taking several special tours through Victoria Fossil Cave and Blanche Cave. The event is hosted by Naracoorte Lucindale Council and National Parks and Wildlife Service to celebrate 25 years of World Heritage Listing and 50 years since the discovery of the major fossil beds in Victoria Fossil Cave.
