Biography/ Background
Dr Susannah Sage Jacobson joined the Adelaide Medical School in August 2022 as the Domain lead in Professionalism and Leadership for the BMedSt and MD.
Susannah commenced her academic career in 2010 after graduating with a research doctorate in law from Monash University (SJD) and building on a decade in legal practice in community law, including human rights and regulation and in a health justice partnership. She was a Senior Lecturer in Law at Flinders University from 2010 specialising in research and teaching in regulation and access to justice. This focus encompassed teaching 'clinical' methods in law, professionalism and person-centred lawyering. Susannah worked at the Adelaide Law School from 2020 to 2022 on interdisciplinary health and technology research projects. Her research interests are in health and aged care regulation, professionalism and leadership in healthcare and access to healthcare in Australia, including through digital technology.
