Biography/ Background
Dr Jo Russell-Clarke is a registered landscape architect of the AILA. Following study at RMIT University she worked initially in a small Melbourne practice on award-winning projects and subsequently for a multinational firm with a focus on landscape infrastructure and suburban subdivision. She writes for professional and academic journals contributing regularly to Landscape Architecture Australia. Jo has lectured and taught at RMIT and the University of Melbourne. Her appointment with the 成人大片 follows earlier guest lectures and other involvement with landscape architecture in the city. Her PhD interrogated the utopianism of suburban design and contemporary landscape architectural endeavour using a variety of frameworks to suggest an ongoing value – if not an urgent corrective need – for utopian thought and desire.
