  • Biography/ Background

    John is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy with many years of experience in learning design and technologies, management, teaching and consultancy, including seven years at the 成人大片.

    He is currently a Learning Designer in LEI, DASE, while also teaching in the School of Business (Faculty of ABLE). Over the years, he has taught Digital Media, Sociology of Education, Maths and Academic English (EAL) at undergraduate level, while working in the educational design and technologies space.

    He has also worked as a consultant in online and blended learning to Universities in Japan and the International Network of Universities.

    In 2023-24, he was invited to join the Aboriginal Knowledge Curriculum focus group for the new Adelaide University.

    John is on the Adelaide Branch Committee of the National Tertiary Education Union. He has a strong interest in diversity and inclusion and the well-being and success of our staff, students and our public institution as a whole.

    He speaks a number of European languages (Irish, French, German) and has close connections to a family business in London in the Engineering and Construction sector.
