The legal environments around military and policing operations—in Australia and overseas—are extremely complex. The field is fraught with extraordinary practical realities and challenges.
Our Professional Certificate in Operational Commercial Law is designed for legal professionals already working in the area who want to advance their knowledge and standing.
What will you do?
This 6-month degree incorporates online, face-to-face and intensive seminar classes. You will:
- examine 'best-practice' principles in military operations
- analyse how laws intersect with relevant government policies
- explore ethical and intercultural considerations
- undertake a research dissertation on an area of operational commercial law.
Where could it take you?
You might be a military lawyer. You could advise on government policy. Perhaps you'll pursue a career working with the Australian Federal Police.

FEE-HELP
This is an Australian full-fee program. As a domestic student you may be eligible to:
- receive a zero interest government assistance package to cover your course fees and
- use over $100,000 in HELP assistance over your lifetime

To qualify for the Professional Certificate in Operational Commercial Law, the student must complete satisfactorily:
- the core course 'Operational Commercial Law' (3 units)
- a research dissertation of not longer than 6,000 words (3 units).
