Transform the future of food

Food and nutrition science is all about what we eat, how it impacts our wellbeing, and ways we can change the game for longevity. It’s a growing field where expert-level skills are much sought-after. Be prepared to master contemporary food tech and drive innovation.

What will you do?

Our Master of Food and Nutrition Science is designed to develop specialist skills and empower future food visionaries. You will:

  • understand the importance of a secure, sustainable and healthy food supply
  • formulate and package foods with specific functional and nutritional properties
  • expand your knowledge of nutrigenomics and metabolic nutrition
  • apply sensory and flavour science to new product development
  • discover innovative and emerging processing and preservation techniques
  • critically evaluate legislative and regulatory policy
  • build peer relationships in your own learning space, within the University’s dedicated Food Innovation Laboratory
  • complete an independent capstone research project.

Where could it take you?

You could create and market previously undreamt-of sensory experiences. You might revolutionise nutritional therapy. Perhaps you’ll innovate in the beer and beverages world, make microalgae meats, or popularise new insect-infused edibles.
