The 成人大片 College - Adelaide and Melbourne Campus

Kaplan Higher Education operates the 成人大片 College and Melbourne Campus. The 成人大片 College offers a Foundation Studies Program, Degree Transfer Program and Pre-Masters Program all of which offer pathways into bachelor or master degrees at the 成人大片. The Melbourne Campus, which commenced teaching in March 2021, offers both 成人大片 College pathway programs and 成人大片 award programs.

  • History

History of UoA/Kaplan Higher Education (KHE) Partnership

    • Bradford College was set up in 2002 and established an Agreement with the 成人大片 (UoA) to provide cohorts of (mainly) international students an alternate pathway to achieve the University鈥檚 entry requirements.
    • In 2007 Bradford College was acquired by Kaplan Incorporated, originated in America and is a global provider of education and career services. 听
    • The UoA awarded Preferred Pathway Provider (PPP) status to Kaplan Higher Education (KHE) and executed a PPP Agreement in mid-2016 for a period of 7 years. In late 2016, under the partnership Bradford College was rebranded to become known as The 成人大片 College (UoAC). Programs include Foundation Studies Program (FSP), Degree Transfer Program (DTP) and Pre-Masters Program (PMP).
    • In September 2019 KHE and the UoA executed an agreement to establish a campus in Melbourne, whereby KHE would deliver pathway and award programs on behalf of the University. The Melbourne Campus Agreement is valid for a period of 7 years, with a concurrent extension to the PPP Agreement.
  • Pathway Programs

    Pathway Programs (UAC, UACM)

UoAC prepares students for undergraduate programs at the UoA through University maintained pathway programs. Students whose qualifications are just below the minimum academic requirements for direct admission into their chosen bachelor or master degree are admitted into the pathway program with guaranteed entry to their degree of choice, with no further English language requirement on successful completion of their pathway program.

    Foundation Studies Program (FSP)
    • Prepares students for successful transition to degree-level study and provides a pathway to the first year of a bachelor degree at the 成人大片 (comparable to Year 12).
    • The Foundation Studies curriculum is developed by KHE to comply with the National Standards for Foundation Programs.
    The Degree Transfer Program (DTP)
    • Allows students that do not meet direct entry requirements to study the first year of a 成人大片 bachelor degree with additional academic, English and pastoral support.
    • Students who successfully complete the Degree Transfer Program are guaranteed entry into the second year of a Bachelor Degree at the University.

There are three versions of the DTP available, which have different entry standards Extended, Standard and Accelerated.

In Adelaide, all ABLE components are taught by UoAC, whereas other streams (SET and Health and Medical Sciences) have a shared teaching model.

In Melbourne, all teaching will be undertaken by KHE, unless by exception.

    Pre-Masters Program (PMP)
    • Prepares students that would not have met direct entry requirements, with a pathway to various masters programs.
    • Is similar to the DTP in that there are various entry points with different academic and English requirements (Extended and Standard).
  • Locations

UoAC had only operated in Adelaide, with students progressing from pathways at UoAC to the 成人大片鈥檚 North Terrace, Waite and Roseworthy Campuses until 2021 when the Melbourne Campus was established in Docklands, on Level 3 of a building already occupied by Kaplan. The building has been branded as The 成人大片.

  • Partner Share Arrangements

In September 2019 KHE and the 成人大片 executed an agreement to establish a campus in Melbourne, whereby KHE would deliver pathway and award programs on behalf of the University under a commercial arrangement. The UoA receives revenue as follows:
    • 18% Partner Share of Pathway program income
    • 25% of student tuition fees for Award program enrolments.
