The Student Experience branch is responsible for providing services that deliver an excellent student experience. This includes administrative and support services to students as well as service to, and partnership with, academic staff in the development of a high-quality, engaging and relevant learning environment.

The Student Experience branch is underpinned by two key foundations:

  • rich engagement with our student cohorts, clubs and societies to cultivate impactful partnerships; and
  • proactive student-centric support across the student lifecycle embedded in the learning and teaching experience to deliver increased student retention and success.

  • Student Engagement and Success

    Student Engagement and Success ensures a rich student experience through delivery of proactive initiatives that support student connections, progression and success during their time at the ³ÉÈË´óƬ.

    The unit works closely with student representatives and is responsible for orientation, program advice, academic progress and initiatives that support student retention and completion.

  • Student Life

    The Student Life unit encompasses key student supports that aim to improve and enhance student experience utilising a continuum of support approach. The unit consists of International Student Support, Counselling Support, Disability Support, Elite Athlete Support, the Student Health and Wellbeing project and the Safer Campus Community initiative. The Accommodation Service and Student Affairs also reportÌýto the Director Student Life.

    Student Administration OperationsÌýprovides streamlined, integrated and intuitive administration services and systems to enable successful student progression through their university lifecycle.ÌýThe Student Administration Operations unit includes Coursework Scholarships and Prizes, Enrolments, Examinations and Results, Graduations, Student Data and Reporting, Timetabling and Planning, and the Student Systems Team.Ìý Ìý

  • Learning Enhancement & Innovation (LEI)

    Learning Enhancement & InnovationÌýleads strategic development initiatives and coordinated services in the key areas of technology-enhanced learning and online learning. This includes provision of specialist expertise and support to academic staff in program and course design, assessment design, and in the use of learning analytics and new digital learning technologies.

  • Employability, Careers & Student Academic Skills (ECSAS)

    Employability, Careers & Student Academic Skills deliver initiatives and services that enable students to succeed in their academic studies and beyond. This includes curriculum embedded employability and co- and extra-curricular employability, work-integrated-learning and internships, support for graduate employment, career development, career guidance and student academic skills initiatives.

    The Internships team is responsible for promoting and supporting embedded Work Integrated Learning in the curriculum throughout the University, including a substantial Internships program and the University’s partnership with Linked-In Learning.Ìý

    Working with students, staff and industry,ÌýCareer ServicesÌýprepares, inspires and empowers students to achieve successful career transitions and connect with industry. This team is also responsible for the Adelaide Graduate Award, a scheme that supports and provides recognition for students’ employability development through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities; and the Global IQ Connect Program, providing students withÌýthe opportunity to build and develop their intercultural communication skills and build their cultural intelligence through engaging with other students from different countries and cultures.
