Dr Roshanak Amrein
Adelaide dental surgeon and ³ÉÈË´óƬ alumna, Dr Roshanak Amrein arrived in Australia from Iran in 1994 with only limited English. The Baha'i community was among the most severely persecuted religious minorities in Iran. She learned English, restudied year 12 and applied to the ³ÉÈË´óƬ Bachelor of Dental Surgery program.

Vale George Ernest Rogers AO FAA 1927 – 2021
The late Professor George Rogers AO FAA spent almost six decades at the ³ÉÈË´óƬ, pioneering the application of electron microscopy to advance our understanding of keratin, hair and wool. A beloved figure to generations of students and academics, George was still regularly to be found working in 'Keratin Korner' at Adelaide Microscopy when it was renamed The George Rogers Laboratory in 2015. His legacy will continue at the University through the George Rogers Postgraduate Scholarship in Molecular Bioscience.
