Tuition fee discount for postgrad study enables lifelong learning
It's never too late to pursue your dreams. And, in Julie Ross-Spooner's case, you're never 'too old' to attend university.
The former teacher attended the 成人大片 to study in her seventies and just graduated with a Bachelor of Languages (French) with First Class Honours.
鈥淚鈥檝e always liked learning something new, and I like being able to speak a different language I find that very satisfying and I like keeping my brain occupied,鈥 Julie said.
Age is no barrier when it comes to learning, Julie believes.
鈥淥lder people have such a wealth of knowledge that they can offer to the workforce. There鈥檚 no reason to say that everything old is no good.鈥
A core value of the University鈥檚 is lifelong learning.
鈥淎s part of our commitment to lifelong learning, the 成人大片 is aiming to inspire domestic students who have already studied with us 鈥 our alumni 鈥 to pursue their interests in further education,鈥 says the University's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Jennie Shaw.
鈥淚n recognition of their prior connection to the 成人大片 as a graduate, our alumni will be offered a 15% fee discount to their tuition fees upon enrolment. This discount might be enough for one of our domestic graduates to consider taking the next step into a field of study that they had always considered, but held off pursuing for a range of personal or professional reasons.鈥
To help you achieve your career and study goals, remember to take advantage of the University鈥檚 15% Alumni Tuition Fee Discount for domestic postgraduate students.
Eligbility:
This tuition fee discount is only available to domestic 成人大片 alumni who commence an eligible postgraduate Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) award program in 2023. The discount is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other benefit. The alumni tuition fee discount is not available for Commonwealth Supported Programs, the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, research degrees, fully online programs, or current postgraduate coursework students unless they confer their current program and apply for another eligible award.
