Malaysian Alumni Network 25th Anniversary

Malaysian Alumni Network

This year celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Malaysia Alumni Network. One of 20 of the University’s alumni chapters, the Malaysia network is the oldest. The establishment of this chapter marked a great commitment by Malaysian graduates to engage with each other and with their alma mater

This was a commitment made by many successful people leading extraordinarily busy lives, who nevertheless took the time to form life long bonds as the ³ÉÈË´óƬ holds a special place in their hearts, and their histories.

The University has had links with Malaysia extending back to the Colombo Plan – it is evident that the relationship has grown from strength to strength with an increasing number of alumni in Malaysia holding a degree from the ³ÉÈË´óƬ.

The University is enormously proud of its Malaysian graduates who are an important part of the institution’s 146-year history. Our commitment to them does not end with the moment they receive their degrees on graduation day; it is a lifelong commitment marked by years of mutual respect and admiration, support and fellowship.

A great many people have worked hard to provide that leadership among the Malaysian chapter of our alumni – from the years before its official chapter status, to today.  For that we thank them all, and wish the chapter continued success in the future.

The University and the Malaysia network will be holding a virtual 25th Anniversary Celebration on 20 November 2020. Details alumni@adelaide.edu.au or President of the Malaysia Network – Ong Jit Seng ongjitseng@hotmail.com
