Congrats to Google PhD Fellowship Awardee
Congratulations to Zhi Tian, supervised by Professor Chunhua Shen, who has been awarded a Google PhD Fellowship for 2019/20. This prestigious award is given for outstanding work during the PhD and supplements the student's scholarship as well as providing research mentoring from within Google.
Google endorsed the decision as follows:
"We are delighted to inform you that we have chosen to award Zhi Tian the 2019 Google PhD Fellowship in Machine Perception. The student nominations we received were exemplary in their quality, but Zhi especially stood out and was endorsed by the research scientists and distinguished engineers within Google who participated in the review."
