How to ApplyÂ
To open an application, contact Study Overseas and confirm if you want to apply for a semester or full year.ÌýStudy Overseas will then send you a link to access your online exchange application.Ìý
The deadline to apply for exchange commencing in Semester 1 2022 at the University of Canterbury is Sunday, 24 October 2021.Ìý
Please note that exchange applications for Semester 1 2022 to the University of Canterbury will only be open to Australian citizens and permanent residents due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions.ÌýFor further information, see °ä°¿³Õ±õ¶Ù-19Ìý±«±è»å²¹³Ù±ð²õ.Ìý
What are the eligibility requirements?Â
To be eligible for exchange at the University of Canterbury, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:Â
- Obtain faculty pre-approval for a minimum of 9 units credit for each semester of exchange.Ìý
- Have a minimum GPA 4.5/7.0 for the degree/s for which you want to go on exchange.Ìý
- Have completed a minimum of 18 units* (approx.Ìý6 UofA courses) at time of application to Study Overseas.Ìý

What happens if I apply?Â
Students who submit an application by the 24 October deadline will have their eligibility assessed by Study Overseas.ÌýÂ
Students will be notified of the outcome of their exchange application by Study Overseas within 2 weeks of the application deadline. Successful students who receive a place on the exchange program to the University of Canterbury will be invited to a compulsory Post-Offer Information Session which will explain the next steps in the application process and other things to consider (credit approvals, accommodation, finances, etc.).Ìý
Where can I go to learn more?Â
An exchange information session about the University of Canterbury is scheduled for 10:10am to 11:00am on Friday, 15 October 2021 in the Napier G03 Lecture Theatre. To register your interest in the information session, book a free ticket through .Ìý
