Booms, Busts & Breakthroughs: Science at Arid Recovery

Join us on Tuesday 19 November, 2:30 – 4:15 pm, to celebrate the science and conservation work of Arid Recovery, in partnership with the ³ÉÈË´óƬ’s Environment Institute.

As we approach our fourth decade, Arid Recovery continues to lead the way in threatened species recovery and desert ecosystem restoration. This event offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from our founders, researchers, collaborators, and Indigenous partners as they share the innovative research shaping the future of desert ecosystems.

The event will feature a series of 5-minute talks, followed by a panel Q&A session hosted by Professor Andy Lowe from the Environment Institute. The lineup of speakers includes:

  • Allan Holmes, Chair of Arid Recovery Board
  • Aaron Thomas and/or Roger Thomas, Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation
  • Dr. Katherine Tuft, CEO, Arid Recovery
  • Peter Copley, Arid Recovery Co-founder
  • Associate Professor Katherine Moseby, Principal Scientist and Co-founder
  • Dr. John Read, Ecological Entrepreneur and Co-founder
  • Dr. Graeme Finlayson, Bush Heritage Australia

Whether you're a friend of Arid Recovery, a long-time supporter, student, or simply passionate about conservation and desert ecosystems, this event is an opportunity to learn, engage, and celebrate.
