Professional and Continuing Education at the 成人大片 is pleased to be supporting Philippine government agencies to accelerate digital transformation, by delivering two short courses on behalf of the Australia Awards and Alumni Engagement Program 鈥 Philippines (AAAEP-P).

The short courses, one of which will be delivered in partnership with Asia Pacific College (APC), will equip senior managers and emerging leaders working for the Philippines government with the skills, knowledge and capacity to accelerate digital transformation through staff training and the development of digital transformation strategies.

Digitisation is increasingly becoming a priority for governments across the globe, thanks to its ability to enhance services, save money, and improve citizens鈥 quality of life.

Sally Jones, General Manager of Professional and Continuing Education, said the short courses will deliver benefits for all involved.

鈥淧rofessional and Continuing Education has a rich history of delivering transformational workplace training to help individuals and organisations learn, grow, adapt and thrive in the changing world of work,鈥 Sally said.

鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to be extending our reach beyond Australia  through the prestigious and long-standing Australia Awards, which is widely-regarded for its impactful outcomes.

鈥淲e鈥檙e looking forward to working with APC to build the capacity of participants as they embark on the journey of implementing digital transformation within the Philippines public sector.鈥

The AAAEP-P is an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

It is designed to provide a suite of learning opportunities to Filipinos, which includes Australia Awards scholarships and short courses, local scholarships, and non-formal learning opportunities.

The first short course Professional and Continuing Education will be delivering is the 鈥楧igital Transformation Strategy Development and Implementation鈥 short course.

As part of this course, senior leadership participants will have the opportunity to undertake a proposed Benchmarking Study to Australia in early 2024, to understand how Australian Government agencies 鈥 both Commonwealth and State 鈥 have undertaken Digital Transformation.

The second short course is 鈥楧igitalisation Skills鈥, which will be delivered in the Philippines in partnership with APC.

The announcement comes following a memorandum of understanding signed between the 成人大片 and APC in the Philippines on Tuesday, 24 October.
